Terms & Conditions of Business Mobile Repair Service.


  • All parts fitted by The Door Doctor UK Ltd. are guaranteed for 12 months parts & labour.
  • All double glazed sealed units fitted into PVC & aluminium doors & windows are covered with a 5 year parts & labour guarantee against seal failure.
  • All double glazed sealed units fitted into timber doors & windows are covered with a 12 months guarantee against seal failure. This is due to the moisture content in the timber which may affect the sealed unit over a period of time.
  • All orders for double glazed sealed units with a value exceeding £400.00 would require a non refundable deposit of 50%
  • Moulded PVC door panels - all panels chosen by the customer are special orders only and cannot be returned if the customer changes their mind or cancels the order. A non refundable deposit would be required to cover the cost of the panel & carriage from our supplier.
  • We do not calculate labour charges on an hourly rate basis - all quotes are either written or verbal and the labour charge is individually calculated based on the type of work required.
  • Travel charges - We only levy a charge for “out of area” work at our discretion and this is itemised separately on the quote supplied.
  • Service calls – Sometimes a request is made for our engineers to return to a job as a service call. If, on inspection by the engineer, it is found that the problem is not covered by our warranty and is a separate issue, the customer will be given a cost to carry out the repair.
Terms & Conditions of Business Counter Sales.
  • All special order parts (other than double glazed sealed units) requires a non refundable deposit for the full cost including carriage charges, prior to the parts being ordered. These parts are non returnable.
  • Items purchased over our sales counter from stock, which have been returned for a refund may incur a restocking charge.
  • All parts returned as faulty will be examined for wear & tear or misuse prior to any replacement or refund being given.
  • All door & window mechanisms are sold on the basis that the door or window sash is correctly set up as any misalignment could cause premature damage to the mechanism. This may void any warranty on the parts purchased.
  • Double glazed sealed units ordered as supply only -The customer has the full responsibility for the sizes supplied, the thickness of the glass, cavity size, glass design, and the choice of standard or safety glass. All orders will require payment in full and the order is then written out in the presence of the customer and signed for. Any error will be the responsibility of the customer and the order can only be altered at the customers cost.
  • Window sash balances can only be ordered if the window specifications are supplied by the customer. A deposit would be required prior to the order being sent.
